Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at Plaza Tucanes. The hotel had a stunning view of Manzanillo Bay in the distance and the pool area was excellent. The rooms were very spacious, featuring 2 full bathrooms, but unfortunately, there was a lingering sewage smell that was bothersome at times.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious with 2 full bathrooms and offered a great view of the pool, restaurant, and Manzanillo Bay in the distance, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable sewage smell in some parts of the rooms. The service provided by the staff, especially Pablo and Alejandro at Plaza Tucanes, was very helpful whenever needed, but they seemed quite inexperienced in handling customer needs. The hotel's location was convenient, easily accessible by local buses and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping venues. The dining experience was a bit spoiled by the oversight of not receiving a wrist band for free meals, although the vegetarian couscous was delicious.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. Although the room I stayed in smelled like sewage, it was very spacious with 2 full bathrooms and offered a great view of the pool, restaurant, and Manzanillo Bay in the distance. The service, especially from Pablo and Alejandro, was helpful, but they seemed inexperienced in dealing with customers. The location was convenient for local buses and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, but the hotel was going through a remodel during my visit. The free dining option upon having a wristband was a nice touch, although the licenciado forgot to give it to us. The traditional fish served was good.
